Hugh's Report

A Government-Backed Review Into the Mental Health Impact of Serious Childhood Illness

What Is Hugh's Report?

Hugh's Report is a Government-backed review into the mental health impact of serious childhood illness on parents, siblings and families.

When a child is diagnosed with a serious or life-limiting illness, the impact reaches far beyond the child themselves. Parents face sustained psychological distress. Siblings are affected. Families are changed forever. Hugh's Report exists to document that reality, give it the weight it deserves, and ensure it shapes the support families receive in future.

This review forms part of the wider Hugh's Law campaign and will provide the evidence base to drive lasting change.

When Is It Launching?

Hugh's Report is expected to launch in Late Summer 2026. We will publish it on this page as soon as it is available.
